Exciting new: A Year of Primitive Floss Tags
I am really excited to announce my new project for 2009: A Year of Primitive Floss Tags. Every month I will release
a floss tag design in primitive style. Floss tags are great to stitch, they're quick, quite easy to put together and you can
either keep them yourself, or give them away (or do both LOL). Of course you can also stitch the designs on one piece of linen.
For the floss tags I have chosen wonderful linens from Picture This Plus and the beautiful colors of the Simply Shaker
threads by The Gentle Art. Join me for an evening or two each month to stitch and finish these cute designs.
I have set up a yahoogroup for the stitchers who will participate in this new project. By becoming a member, you will
get access to the charts, a tutorial on how to make a floss tag, contests, advance notice of the materials used in the next
design and more fun that we can come up with.
The price for all 12 designs is $ 24.00, to be paid by paypal. Once I have received your payment, you will get an invitiation
to join the yahoogroup and thus have access to all the information.
Are you getting excited as well? Sign up now and get the list of materials needed for the January chart. Email me (info at needlescontent dot com) and I will send you a Paypal invoice.
If you prefer to buy the charts as they come out you will pay $3.50 per chart (you won't be able to become a member of
the yahoogroup). Email me and make sure you mention which chart you would like to get.
Release July 2007
I am happy to announce two new designs from The Needle's Content. The first, a Dutch Darning Sampler, is a small design
that features a vertical and horizontal darning pattern. The second is a new addition to my scissor fob series, the Dutch
Scissor Fob. The designs are available directly from me or from Norden Crafts.
#59 Dutch Scissor Fob
This scissor fob features a Dutch windmill and wooden shoes. It makes the perfect gift for everybody who has a connection
to the Netherlands. It is stitched with DMC threads in Delft blue colors on 28 count Cashel. Instruction for finishing the
scissor fob are included in the leaflet. This design can be finished by hand.
#58 Small Samplers: Dutch Darning Sampler
This chart features both cross stitch over 2 threads as well as over 1 thread and a vertical and horizontal darning pattern.
Stitched with a combination of one Gloriana and two Needlepoint Silks, it allows the stitcher to choose her own color
combination. The design is stitched on 32 count Belfast linen and fits in a standard frame.
Below you will find the releases from 2006.
#57 Texan Welcome
I have a wonderful friend in Texas and she and her family make sure that I experience a warm Texan welcome every time
I visit them. Stitch this design for your guestroom, your favorite aunt to visit, hang it over your door to welcome guest,
you can use it in a variety of ways.
#56 No Sew Needlebook
This needlebook literally requires no sewing at all. You will finish the edges with a nun stitch and thread the pages
together with cording or ribbon. Choose your favorite color to stitch this needlebook and you'll see that it is no hassle
at all.
#28 Autumn Sewing Roll (leaflet)
This sewing roll holds a scissor fob, a pincushion and has a needlebook attached on the inside. It even has a small pocket
to store your scissors or threads. It is stitched in Needlepoint silks and Gloriana silks, but you can choose any color combination
you prefer. As always all finishing instructions are included.
